Who Leads Us

Senior Pastor - Mark Wheeler

Dr. Mark Wheeler has served as senior pastor at United Evangelical Free Church since September 2004. Before coming to United, Mark served as an associate pastor for 18 years in two churches in Wheaton, Illinois, and Bellevue, Washington. He has also served as an instructor with Walk Thru the Bible Ministries since 1987.

Mark is a graduate of Biola University in La Mirada, California (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.), and Talbot School of Theology at Biola University (Ph.D.).

Mark and Carol have been married since December 1980 and have three children–Jonathan, Amanda, and Caitlin.

“My Mission is to serve the purpose of God in my generation, thus bringing glory to His name. My Life Vision is to train and equip others through preaching, teaching, writing, and leadership development. I want to bring all to maturity and many into leadership.”

Pastor Mark has done some writing, including several articles
 as well as a blog.

Associate Pastor - Aaron Olson

Aaron oversees the ministry to Youth and the area of Outreach.

Aaron moved to Seattle in 2007 to do ministry at United. Prior to that, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary, getting his Th. M. in pastoral leadership. Aaron is married to Dana, and they have a son, Elijah.

"I want others to know that nothing compares to knowing Christ. Nothing is more worthwhile or satisfying than living to please Him, in response to what He’s done for us. He may not make the problems and stresses of life disappear, but He’s the one that makes it truly worth living.”
